The Story of Change: why citizens hold the keys to a better world

Annie Leonard, creator of the award-winning online video, The Story of Stuff, has just release her latest film – The Story of Change. Inspired by countless enquiries about what people could do to change the take-make-waste system that is threatening the planet and its people, The Story of Change is a 6-minute film that shows that it takes all sorts of people to make change and profiles a range of changemaker identities. The ultimate message behind the film is the power of engaged citizens coming together to create change they want to see.

This new film also links with the Story of Stuff’s interactive quiz that aims to help people identify what type of changemaker they are – and chart a path for their own citizen engagement. Leonard has also recently launched the Changemaker Challenge which is a platform for the Story of Stuff community to share “Action Ideas” for how to create a better world. The top Action Ideas will be highlighted on the Story of Stuff website, receive help from the Project, and might even be featured in The Good Stuff, a podcast series, or one of The Story of Stuff’s future movies.
