RENAC training courseIf your answers are positive, the Renewables Academy AG (RENAC)’s Green Energy Summer School (GESS) in Berlin is just the perfect way to spend your summer 2016. Since 2013, RENAC calls on people from various professional and national backgrounds to join its annual summer school programme. 

GESS 2016 runs over three weeks – from 22 August to 9 September. Each week offers a different theme designed to suit the needs of a variety of participants, taking into consideration their professional background and their knowledge of the subject. Participants can choose either to attend one, two or three weeks of the summer school. 

Week I delivers an overview of the most interesting renewable energy technologies available in the market and is directed at those who want to enhance their career prospects by getting a comprehensive introduction into the topic. In Week II, participants have the opportunity to obtain an in-depth know-how in both grid-connected and off-grid photovoltaic systems. A third week of two parallel seminars completes the GESS programme with an overview of energy efficiency in industry and buildings (Week IIIa) or an introduction to bioenergy (Week IIIb).

The learning objectives are achieved through a blend of up-to-date theoretical lectures, state-of-the-art practical exercises and field excursions accompanied by a lot of fun and international networking. The Green Energy Summer School serves as a platform to study in a team with professionals from many different countries while bringing renewable energy and / or energy efficiency know-how to perfection.

The GESS takes place in RENAC’s Training Centre, which is located in the heart of Berlin. Close by to the training premises are plenty of boutiques, cafés, bars, museums, cinemas and other opportunities to enjoy the evenings or the weekend during the best season in one of Europe’s most exciting cities.
