The CHEMA Programme is an environmental non-profit organization working in the Kagera Region in the northwestern part of Tanzania. Its main focus is natural resource management and sustainable agriculture – to enable local people to manage their natural resources and increase productivity in a sustainable manner. CHEMA deals with afforestation, water projects, agroforestry, beekeeping, organic agriculture, community forest management and environmental education. CHEMA is part of the Catholic Diocese of Rulenge.
