Velo-city conferences typically bring together more than 1,000 delegates such as engineers, planners, architects, social marketers, academic researchers, environmentalists, businessmen/women, and industry representatives who join forces with government at all levels in order to build effective transnational partnerships to deliver benefits to cycling worldwide.

Velo-city 2013 in Vienna will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to communicate and exchange their work, ideas and visions in an inspiring environment, as well as to interact with a diverse array of experts, advocates and decision makers.

Velo-city 2013 Vienna features a rich program to facilitate professional expertise and debate, informal opportunities for networking, experience of Vienna’s (bicycle) cultural diversity and interaction with the Viennese population during public events. The program offers are a mixture of established and interactive conference formats, such as lectures, round tables, lightning talks and workshops, and informal events that will be technical, cultural and recreational.

Beyond the conference program, numerous specialized excursions, trips and side events will be on offer before, during and after the conference for participants, accompanying persons and Vienna’s citizens. The Giant-Wheel-Parade, Garden Party, Velo-city 2013 Expo Reception and various excursions are all part of the official conference program to ensure a relaxed atmosphere and to facilitate networking.
