Description: ‘Climate change in African cities: solutions & partnerships for action’ is a Twitter chat hosted by the Green Africa Directory, as part of the Earth To Marrakech coalition. Please join us on Twitter as we discuss issues relevant to the UNFCCC’s COP22, which is taking place this month in the Kingdom of Morocco.

Accelerated action on climate change in African cities is critical to building resilience and creating opportunities for sustainable development pathways, as well as to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The UNFCCC’s COP22 in Marrakech is an important event for African cities to leverage networking, collaboration and partnership opportunities to advance progress on climate change adaptation and mitigation, build resilience and transition to a low-carbon, climate-smart and resource-efficient urban future. This Twitter chat will focus on how networks and partnerships can help drive climate action and innovation in Africa and aims to crowdsource some of the most exciting climate solutions in cities across the continent.
