Description: IMBEWU is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a Water Law Workshop in collaboration with The MSA Group (Pty) Ltd.
The workshop is designed to provide a focussed understanding of the National Water Act in South Africa and a practical understanding of how it is implemented especially in relation to matters that most affect water users such as licensing and sustainable resource use. The workshop will also look at current topical issues pertaining to water law in South Africa.
The facilitators of the workshop will give a detailed overview of both the legal and technical perspective of water law and water issues in South Africa. Adam Gunn has extensive experience with water law in South Africa. Pam Mqulwana worked for 10 years at the Department of Water Affairs and has extensive experience with water licence applications. She has now gained valuable experience in the private sector. Robin Bolton has more than 13 year’s experience dealing with water issues from a technical perspective.
The workshop will be focused, practical and interactive.
This is a cost and time effective workshop which will provide the necessary background and strategic understanding of the effects and consequences of water law in South Africa and will assist in understanding the environmental legal risks and environmental legal compliance requirements within your area of work and expertise.
