Course: Large-scale solar thermal systems

renac renewables academyDates: 4 – 8 May 2015
City: Berlin
Country: Germany
Register: Large-scale solar thermal systems course

Description: The course provides both theoretical and practical knowledge required to develop large-scale solar thermal systems for hot water generation. It covers site assessment, design, installation and commissioning, operation and maintenance and system performance monitoring. System simulation is demonstrated using dynamic simulation software. The course will take place in the RENAC Training Centre, where participants will work with our solar thermal training rigs. Case studies are used to illustrate typical demands of, for example, hospital and hotel systems. The training includes calculation exercises to allow participants to go through the whole design process themselves. Also provided is the knowledge to perform economic analyses.
